India vs West Indies 3rd ODI at Pune

India vs West Indies 3rd ODI at Pune: Not Virat Kohli, But Rohit Sharma on Cusp of Breaking Sachin Tendulkar's Record of Most Sixes in ODIs, MS Dhoni Tops List

India vs West Indies 3rd ODI at Pune: For a change, not Virat Kohli but Rohit Sharma is on the cusp of breaking a Sachin Tendulkar record. In Pune, Rohit Sharma will have a chance of becoming the second highest six-hitter for India in ODIs, he needs a solitary six to equal Sachin and two sixes to go past him. Rohit currently has 194 sixes to his name as opposed to Tendulkar's 195. Former skipper and current Team India wicket-keeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni leads that list with a staggering 211 maximums.
This is a record he can practically break given his recent six-hitting form.
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan need 14 more runs to become the second-most successful openers for India in ODIs. Rohit-Dhawan have 3906 runs, whereas Sachin and Sehwag have 3919 runs from 93 innings. At the top of the tree is Sachin and Sourav Ganguly as India s most successful opening pair. Sehwag and Sachin had 10 century-run stands and 13 fifty-run stands.
It is highly likely that the current Indian openers should easily get there without any fuss.
The duo of Sachin and Ganguly scored 6609 runs in 136 innings with an impressive 49.32. In which they notched up 21 century-run stands and 23 half-century partnerships.
